Remote Workers at Your Vacation Rental?
With the rise in remote work, many vacation rental owners are seeing a rise in guests seeking a work space.
Let’s face it: remote work (and remote workers) isn’t going away. Perhaps you’ve seen an increase in bookings because workers can put in their office time from anywhere, enabling many to travel and explore new locations while still being able to clock in 9 to 5.
According to Airbnb data* released in September 2021, guests are searching for vacation rental properties that offer a dedicated work space. Make sure you include this in your listing so you stand out above the competition!
Include these amenities to increase your profits and help your working guests stay productive:
Fast wifi: Guests have higher expectations for fast internet now that so many of them are working remotely. If you can, consider upgrading to a faster speed.
A laptop-friendly workspace: That means a desk or table near a power source, with a comfortable chair (even better if it’s ergonomic!). Want to go the extra mile? Add a cup full of brand-new pens, a stapler, and a stack of sticky notes. If you have a printer or copy machine, make sure to highlight those in your listing description.
Coffee station & local coffee beans: Putting in a little extra effort goes a long way, and guests will love your attention in helping them power through their work day.
