Holiday Decorations at a Vacation Rental... Yeah or Nay?

As the owner of a vacation rental property, you may be tempted to add seasonal decor to delight your guests. If adding holiday or seasonal decor is your thing, here’s our top tips for adding holiday flare for your guests to enjoy.

Here are our pro tips:

1. Don't block or cover up important features such as views, windows, fireplaces, or mantels.

2. Add organic accessories. Instead of traditional décor, add items such as dried foliage and driftwood to create a natural holiday look in your vacation rental home.  

3. Keep walkways clear. We recommend 36" of space to allow guests to move comfortably through a room, so keep decorations clear of pathways.

4. Decorate with silver, gold and white instead of red and green. 

5. Opt for garlands or greenery instead of setting out your favorite religious items or Santa figurines. Drape a piece of garland on the mantle or hang it on a mirror for a modern holiday vibe that everyone can appreciate.
