HOW IT WORKS

01. KICK-OFF MEETING

For our Refresh My Vacation Rental and Full-Service Design & Set-Up packages, we’ll schedule a kick-off meeting so we can get to know the property, your target market, and how we can best serve you. We will meet in-person if your property is located in the greater Santa Barbara area or via video conference. Once you schedule a kick-off meeting, we will be in touch to request additional information needed prior to the meeting.

02. agree on overall style & budget

Once we have all information needed, including floor plans, inspiration photos, Pinterest boards and budget, we will meet where design preferences and direction is discussed. At this stage we will understand the level of involvement the client wishes to have. Some short term rental investors are happy to select a style, discuss service, budget and timeline and step back to focus on other business, trusting our selections within the style genre and approving purchases and invoicing remotely via email. Other clients want more involvement within the determined design genre and reviews proposed color palettes, furnishings and hard elements, fixtures and finishes, based on as needed basis. Purchases don’t occur without approved proposals and being on the same page with minimal revisions is our design collaboration mission.

03. Design

Once a proposal design concept is approved, the details of the elements and quotes are gathered for approval to ensure the specific hard and soft materials and elements reflect your vision. This phase is the project timeline where deliverables include quotes and invoices, selection and procurement of materials such as flooring, paint, light fixtures, finishes, hardware, furnishings, rugs, art, etc. To be sure these are aligned and cohesive, we purchase and arrange shipment with our trusted vendor partners. This involves decisions and project management we oversee along with financial and communication commitment of our clients. This collaboration ensures working toward a shared project goal and timeline so completion of this phase ensures we are prepared to install or execute materials for your contractors, as needed.

04. The Execution

When design details are made, elements and furnishings ordered, we begin the phase to execute receipt of goods and readiness for installation and styling. for construction or new build projects, this may include coordination with your contractor, architect or subcontractors, if no general contractor is engaged. We schedule a mutually agreeable day or days and in a single block of time, we execute the installation instead of as items occur. This ensures the space is transformed and our billable time used most effectively for our clients. We will make the project white glove ready for your photography, if installation and styling are included in the client project.
